Welcome to the Lindau Harbor Christmas Market 2026
From 26 November to 20 December 2026 (open Thursday to Sunday), one of Germany's most beautiful Christmas markets opens its doors. The Lindauer Hafenweihnacht enchants visitors with its unique location right on an island in Lake Constance (Bodensee). Framed by the shimmering lake and the breathtaking panorama of the snow-capped Alps, it offers an incomparably festive and maritime atmosphere.

Program
The market is open on Advent weekends (Thursday to Sunday) from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. In addition to classic Christmas market treats and high-quality handicrafts, there is a diverse supporting program. Children can look forward to the fairy-tale forest and stories at the Mangturm. Numerous choirs and musical groups provide festive background music along the promenade.
Tickets
Admission to the Lindau Harbor Christmas Market is free. The harbor promenade is openly accessible, allowing guests to freely enjoy the special waterside flair. However, tickets for optional boat tours (e.g., the Christmas Ship) must be purchased separately from the respective boat operators.
Visitor Tips
- Traveling by train is highly recommended, as the Lindau Island train station is located right next to the Christmas market.
- Dress warmly, as a chilly breeze often blows in from the lake.
- Plan a walk through the historic old town of Lindau Island during your visit.
- Take advantage of the Christmas ships to reach the market via the water from Konstanz or Bregenz.
