From November 28 to 30, 2026, the Marktplatz in Lübben in the Spreewald region turns into a festively decorated Advent market. The town of Lübben (Spreewald) / Lubin (Błota) traditionally opens its Advent market on the first weekend of Advent, offering music, handicrafts and a warm winter atmosphere in the heart of the historic center.

Program and Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The market opens on Friday at 4 PM with the official opening of the ice rink by the mayor, followed by the traditional cutting of the Christmas stollen and an evening of Christmas house music with local DJs. Saturday and Sunday run roughly from 10 AM to 6 or 7 PM with music and children's activities throughout the day, and a live band takes over on Saturday evening. The ice rink itself stays open far longer than the market, running from November 28 all the way through January 4.
