Welcome to the Luminaria di San Ranieri 2027 in Pisa
The Luminaria di San Ranieri 2027 takes place on 16 June in Pisa. On the eve of the city’s patron saint San Ranieri, the Lungarni along the Arno are illuminated by tens of thousands of candles. This free event is one of Tuscany’s most spectacular traditional celebrations and attracts large crowds every year.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
On the afternoon of 16 June helpers begin lighting the candles along the Lungarni. At dusk public lighting is switched off so that only the warm candlelight outlines the buildings. Around 11:00 p.m. the traditional fireworks display takes place from the river. Celebrations in honour of the patron saint continue on 17 June with the Palio di San Ranieri.
