Welcome to the Malchow Advent Market 2026 in Malchow
The Malchow Advent Market takes place on the first December weekend, 5 and 6 December 2026, at Neuer Markt and in the Werleburg guest house in the island town of Malchow. At the same time the town centre transforms into the illuminated Christmas Street. The charming location in the Mecklenburg Lake District and the historic island structure create a particularly cosy Advent atmosphere with free admission.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
On Saturday, 5 December 2026, the Christmas Street lights up from 14:00 and invites strolling through the illuminated town centre. At the same time the Advent Market opens on Neuer Markt and in the heated Werleburg with chalet magic, craft offers and face painting. Typical programme items include Santa’s consultation hours, cheerleader performances, fairy-tale readings in the town library and in the evening Christmas singing as well as dancing under the Christmas tree. On Sunday, 6 December, the programme continues from 14:00 to 18:00 with a relaxed family atmosphere, further children’s activities and the singing Santa Claus.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Malchow
- Arrival by car is more practical; parking is available among other places on the Stämmenberg. By public transport to Malchow and then on foot into the island town.
- Dress warmly and weatherproof – the lake district can be windy. Comfortable shoes for strolling along the Christmas Street are recommended.
- Book accommodation in the island town or by the lake early, as Advent weekends are popular.
- Combine your visit with a walk across the swing bridge and a view of Lake Malchow for the special island setting.
- Arrive a little earlier on Saturday to enjoy the full Christmas Street and the evening atmosphere.
