When and Where Does Masters of Rock 2027 Take Place?
Masters of Rock returns for its 23rd edition from 8 to 11 July 2027. As every year, the venue is the grounds of the Rudolf Jelínek distillery in Vizovice, set among the green hills of Moravian Wallachia in the Czech Republic. The festival is regarded as one of Europe's biggest power and heavy metal gatherings, famous for the scent of slivovitz (the traditional Czech plum brandy distilled right on site) hanging over the whole festival area.
Masters of Rock 2027 Lineup: Confirmed Bands So Far
For the 2027 edition, several major names are already confirmed: Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), Amaranthe, Lord Of The Lost and Therion, who will celebrate their 40th band anniversary with a special show. Also announced are Dartagnan, Septicflesh, Crematory, Nervosa, April Art, Lagwagon, Emil Bulls, Samurai Pizza Cats, Die Happy, Melissa Bonny, Wizardthrone, Roses Of Thieves, Season In Black and Doga. Tickets and Prices for Masters of Rock 2027
Advance sales are already running exclusively through the official website and the Pragokoncert shop. The general standing four day festival ticket costs 3 490 CZK (roughly 140 euros) in the current introductory phase and is valid until 31 August 2026 or until the limited allocation sells out. For those who prefer a seat, reserved grandstand tickets are available in three tiers: SILVER at 5 000 CZK, GOLD at 6 000 CZK and PLATINUM (best view, including a festival shirt and last year's live recording) at 10 000 CZK. Prices historically rise as the sale progresses, so booking early pays off.
Camping and Accommodation at the Festival
Tent camping is available directly on site, and the Chill Village area also offers ready set up tents for up to five people, including nearby guarded parking. Reservations for Chill Village are expected to open in autumn 2026, according to the organizers. Anyone bringing their own tent should arrive with proper camping gear, since the site fills up quickly during peak season.
How to Get to Vizovice, Czech Republic
Vizovice sits in the east of the Czech Republic, close to the city of Zlín, and is reachable via the D1 motorway or by train to Zlín, from where shuttle buses and local connections run to the festival grounds. Visitors coming from Germany, Austria or Slovakia typically travel via Brno and Zlín; the closest international option is Brno Turany Airport.
Visitor Tips
- Book tickets early, since the cheapest allocations usually sell out well before the festival itself.
- Bring Czech koruna in cash or a card that works fee free abroad.
- Pack warm clothing for the nights, as shows run late into the early morning hours.
- Bring ear protection, since volumes right in front of the stages get very loud.
- If not camping, book accommodation in Zlín or Vizovice early, as rooms fill up fast.
