What Is MEO Kalorama Festival in Lisbon?

MEO Kalorama is a summer festival in Lisbon that has taken place at Parque da Bela Vista since 2022, combining music, art and sustainability. The name comes from Greek and roughly means "beautiful view", a nod to the park's natural bowl shape, which gives clear sightlines to the main stage from almost anywhere on the grounds. In just a few years the festival has grown into one of the city's biggest summer events and traditionally closes out the European festival season.

When Is MEO Kalorama 2026?

The fifth edition of MEO Kalorama runs from Friday, 28 August, to Sunday, 30 August 2026. Gates open at 17:00 on all three days, with programming running into the early hours of the morning, especially on the electronic focused PANORAMA Lisboa stage.

How to Get to Parque da Bela Vista

The park sits within Lisbon's city limits and is well connected to public transport. The nearest metro station is Bela Vista, on the Red Line. Buses and free shuttles also run between the festival grounds and several points in the city. Drivers can book discounted daily parking through the festival's partner Telpark in various neighborhoods.

Visitor Tips for MEO Kalorama

  • Buy tickets early, as headline days tend to get more expensive or sell out as the festival approaches.
  • Plan your route via the Bela Vista metro station to skip parking and traffic.
  • Since the program starts in the late afternoon, MEO Kalorama pairs well with a full day of sightseeing beforehand.
  • Late August in Lisbon can still be warm during the day; pack light clothing along with something warmer for cooler nights.
  • The minimum age is 6, and children still need their own ticket.
