When and where does M'era Luna 2027 take place?
M'era Luna takes place on 7 and 8 August 2027 at Flugplatz Hildesheim Drispenstedt, a former British military airfield just a few kilometers north of downtown Hildesheim in Lower Saxony, Germany. The festival keeps its traditional slot on the second weekend of August; since the year 2000, the wide airfield grounds have turned every summer into Europe's largest gathering for the gothic and dark music scene.
What is M'era Luna? Gothic and Industrial festival in Hildesheim
M'era Luna is considered the central European festival for alternative dark scenes, gothic culture, cyberpunk style and dark music genres. Around 40 national and international bands perform each year on two main stages, including a converted aircraft hangar, covering gothic rock, EBM, dark wave, metal, medieval rock, synthpop and aggrotech. With roughly 25,000 attendees, it ranks among the largest festivals of its kind worldwide.
