The Kurhaus in Merano turns into one of Europe's most important meeting points for wine and gourmet culture during the Merano WineFestival 2026. Founded by Helmuth Köcher in 1992, the festival brings together wineries, distilleries and craft breweries from Italy and abroad in this elegant South Tyrolean spa town.

The festival is organized into several thematic segments: Friday is dedicated to TasteTerroir, focused on organic and natural wine, Saturday through Monday form the main program called The Festival, and Tuesday closes the week with the Champagne focused Catwalk Champagne. Masterclasses and a conference at the town theater also run throughout the festival week.
