The MPS combines a multi-stage music program with a rich market and cultural offering. The main stage (Musikarena) hosts the biggest names in the medieval rock and folk scene. Smaller stages feature street performers, fire artists, jugglers and theatre troupes throughout the day. The medieval market runs continuously with craftsmen, blacksmiths, potters, leather workers and costume traders alongside food and drink stalls serving medieval-inspired fare. On Saturdays the program runs until midnight, closing with a spectacular fire show.

Visitor Tips
- Buy tickets in advance as popular locations like Luhmühlen sell out quickly.
- A medieval costume is not required but is warmly encouraged and greatly adds to the atmosphere.
- Saturday is the main day with a full program; Sunday is ideal for families with children (lower prices, fewer crowds).
- Camping is available at select sites; check each location's page and book separately in advance.
- The MPS is one of the only festivals in Europe where glass bottles are explicitly permitted.
- Driving is the most practical option; some sites offer shuttle buses from the nearest train station.
- Bring warm layers for the evening; events run until midnight on Saturdays.
