Munich Spring Festival 2027 at Theresienwiese
From 16 April to 2 May 2027, the 61st Munich Spring Festival opens its doors at the famous Theresienwiese. Known affectionately as the "little Wiesn", this beloved folk festival marks the start of Munich's festival season and attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world. With two decorated beer tents, more than 100 fairground rides and stalls, Bavarian delicacies and a varied program for the whole family, Frühlingsfest is a truly unforgettable experience.

Beer Tents
Festhalle Bayernland is the oldest and most traditional tent at Frühlingsfest, serving Augustiner Bräu since 1971. It offers classic Bavarian atmosphere with brass music and hearty food. The Hippodrom provides a somewhat livelier setting with room for around 2,000 guests, the specially brewed Spaten Frühlingswiesnbier and live music from popular bands. Table reservations are available at both tents and are highly recommended for weekends.

- Last drinks served in the beer tents at 10:30 PM
Admission
Entry to the Munich Spring Festival is completely free of charge. Both the fairgrounds and the beer tents can be entered without a ticket. Rides, food and drinks are paid separately. Table reservations in the beer tents typically require a minimum spend.
Getting There
The easiest way to reach Theresienwiese is by U-Bahn lines U4 and U5 to Theresienwiese station. Alternatively, take the U3/U6 to Goetheplatz or an S-Bahn to Hackerbrücke (around 10 minutes on foot). Tram lines 18 and 19 stop at Hermann-Lingg-Straße right next to the grounds. Travelling by car is not recommended as there is no festival car park available.
Visitor Tips
- Arrive early, especially on weekends and public holidays.
- Book beer tent table reservations well in advance online.
- Traditional dress (Dirndl or Lederhosen) is welcome but not required.
- Take advantage of Family Afternoons on Tuesdays for discounted ride prices.
- Do not miss the BRK flea market on the first Saturday; traders set up from early morning.
