Welcome to the Munich Midsummer Night’s Dream 2027 in Munich
The Munich Midsummer Night’s Dream (Münchner Sommernachtstraum) has been one of the major summer highlights at Olympiapark for more than 20 years. The open-air event combines live music on several stages, festival atmosphere, culinary offerings and, as a spectacular finale, one of Germany’s largest music-choreographed pyro shows over the Olympic Lake. The exact date for 2027 has not yet been announced (TBA); traditionally the event takes place on a Saturday in July.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The exact schedule and line-up for 2027 have not yet been released. Typically the gates open around 15:30 and the programme starts at 16:00. Afternoon and evening acts alternate on the main stage and the peninsula stage. The highlight is the large, music-synchronised pyro and drone show over the Olympic Lake, usually starting around 22:10–22:15 and lasting approximately 30 minutes. The programme is completed by smaller stages, food offers and interactive areas throughout Olympiapark.
Tickets & Admission for Munich Midsummer Night’s Dream Munich
Ticket sales for 2027 have not yet started. In previous years Category 2 tickets (access to all stages and the pyro show) were available from around €40–46 (group and friends offers sometimes lower), Category 1 with the best fireworks view from around €50–56 and VIP tickets significantly higher (up to around €270 including special areas and catering). Early-bird, group and friends bundles are common. Once the date and prices are published, tickets will be available via the official website, München Ticket and Eventim. Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Munich
- Best reached by public transport: U3 to Olympiazentrum (approx. 10-minute walk), Tram 20/21 or buses around Olympiapark. Expect high demand at stops after the fireworks.
- Bring weatherproof and comfortable clothing plus sturdy shoes – the park is large and distances can be longer. A light jacket for the evening is recommended.
- Book accommodation near Olympiapark or well-connected hotels in the city centre early, as the July date often coincides with other summer events.
- Arrive early to secure good spots for the fireworks and explore the entire grounds at a relaxed pace.
- Check official site maps and current advice on the event website; parking is limited and often congested after the show.
