Welcome to the Musiktheatertage Wien 2026 in Vienna
Musiktheatertage Wien 2026 takes place from 16 to 27 September and presents contemporary music theatre at established stages as well as unusual venues across Vienna. Under the theme “The Touch of the Unknown”, the festival invites audiences to artistic encounters at St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Favoriten Water Tower, the Odeon, the MuTh and further locations.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The festival opens on 16 September with “The Mass Man” at the Odeon Theatre. Further premieres and performances follow, including “The Sailmaker’s Wife” at the MuTh, “UCHRONIA” at St. Stephen’s Cathedral, “Zoe” and “Maria und die Fledermaus” at Theater am Werk, the interactive “Synkope – KOLLAPSOLOGIE 4” at WUK, and the musical-visual journey “FLUIDE III: WASSER” at the Favoriten Water Tower. The programme is completed by Club Mosaik evenings and the MTTW LABOR. Most performances start at 19:30; exact times and additional dates can be found in the official programme.
Tickets & Admission for Musiktheatertage Wien Vienna
Tickets are available via the official ticket shop. In previous editions prices ranged from approximately €15 (reduced) to €27–30 (full price).
