For 2024/2025 the celebration was held at Michalis Kakoyannis Square by the Old Port with a live trio, a DJ and silent fireworks. For 2025/2026 the focus moved to Grigori Afxentiou Square with a Broadway-style show, a concert and the mayor's greeting; the official fireworks were cancelled out of consideration for pets and noise-sensitive guests, while private fireworks still lit the sky. Rain can delay or cancel outdoor parts at short notice.

Restaurants at the marina and Old Port typically start festive menus from 20:00. Clubs and lounges peak after midnight. Expect a mix of Greek and international hits, house, R&B and live acts. The public city celebration is traditionally free. Paid options range from club tickets to hotel galas. In 2025/2026 club tickets were roughly 40 to 80 euros with a drinks package, restaurant menus about 70 to 250 euros, and hotel galas from around 89 to 430 euros per adult. Final 2026/2027 prices have not been confirmed; hotel and premium venue reservations usually open in autumn and sell out. Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Limassol

• Larnaca Airport is about one hour away by taxi, transfer or hire car. Inside the city, taxis and walking between the marina, Molos and the old town beat driving, as parking is scarce on New Year's Eve.
• Nights are often 8–12°C with a real chance of rain. Pack a windproof layer over evening wear, comfortable shoes for the promenade and a spare layer for clubs.
• Waterfront and marina hotels book up early. Reserve rooms and gala seats in autumn if you can.
• For fireworks and sea views choose Molos, the marina or a raised terrace. For dancing until dawn head to winter clubs in the old town.
