The turn of the year 2026/2027 turns Antwerp into one of Belgium's most exciting party cities. Besides the traditional fireworks over the Scheldt and the countdown on the Grote Markt, many clubs, halls and event venues open their doors on New Year's Eve. Program & Schedule: Which Parties and Club Nights Are Happening in Antwerp?
New Year's Eve in Antwerp falls roughly into three types of night out. If you like it big and urban, IKON offers three floors from 22:00: the main room plays urban, afro and R&B, AURA plays old school R&B and FUSIA plays afro house. The club announces confetti, fireworks effects, dancers, bottle service and a secret live act, but no artist names have been published yet. Entry is 18+ with ID, and the dress code is "dress to impress".
Techno and rave fans have plenty of choice. At Garage Klub (Noorderlaan 72), Verknipt NYE runs from 22:00 to 07:00 with eight announced DJs. Traum (Verversrui 15) starts its rave at 23:59 and keeps going for twelve hours until noon; the artists have not been announced. At Ampere (Simonsstraat 21), the NYE Ampere Closing Night starts at 23:59 with Dave Clarke and David Vunk, with more guests still to be announced. The club bills it as one last night. Note that earlier media reports announced an earlier end to the club's operations, so please check the club's website for the latest status before buying a ticket.
Around the main station, the party "New Years Eve at Central Station" at Rijnkaai 4 runs from 22:00 to 06:00; the line up was listed as "coming soon". CargoClub (Lange Schipperskapelstraat 11 to 13) hosts Woodpop New Year's Eve from 23:00 to 05:00, with two published time slots (23:00 to 01:00 and 01:00 to 03:00). At Vizit, "New Years Dub!" starts at 21:00 and runs until 06:00; the address and line up have not been published, and the title suggests a dub focus.
If you prefer to celebrate with a meal, there are two options. "Happy año nuevo Dinner & Dance" at El Dorado Dance Club (19:00 to 05:00) includes a buffet, soft drinks, wine and beer until 22:30; there are only 40 places and a reservation is required. The "New Year's Eve 2026/27 Dinner & Dance" at Barazza Feestzalen (18:00 to 03:00) offers dinner and drinks as an all in package. We could not confirm any classic New Year's balls with formal dress in Antwerp for 2026/2027 so far; the two dinner dance evenings come closest to that format.
The big city events complete the night: traditionally there are fireworks over the Scheldt at midnight and a countdown on the Grote Markt. The city had not published the details for the turn of the year 2026/2027 at the time of research; last year the fireworks were launched from a barge on the river.
Tickets & Admission for New Year's Eve Parties in Antwerp 2026/2027
Prices vary widely by format. Traum tickets are listed between 20 and 30 euros and are expected to sell out quickly. The NYE Ampere Closing Night costs 30 euros. For Verknipt NYE at Garage Klub you pay roughly 29.74 to 50.95 euros depending on the ticket tier. The dinner and dance evenings are package deals: El Dorado costs 90 euros and Barazza 95 euros per person. For IKON, Woodpop, Vizit and the party at the main station, no prices had been published at the time of research; IKON announces ticket sales on its website, and tables and VIP packages are requested directly from the club. For club nights, early ticket tiers are usually the cheapest, so buying early generally saves money.
Visitor Tips: Travel, Nightlife & Accommodation in Antwerp
- Most clubs are close to the main station or in the Eilandje and Straatsburgdok area; plan to arrive by bus, tram or taxi and avoid the car, since many streets around the fireworks are closed
- Last year De Lijn offered a New Year's ticket for 3 euros (return); check in good time whether the offer returns
- New Year's Eve in Antwerp is usually cold and damp; wear a warm coat and use the club cloakrooms
- Bring valid ID: most club nights, including IKON, are 18+
- Book hotels or apartments early because demand is high over the turn of the year, and reserve dinner parties and tables in good time
