About this event
Oktoberfest Rome 2026 will take place from September 16 to 20 at the CittĂ dell'Altra Economia in the Roman district of Testaccio. Entry to the multi-day beer festival is free.
In recent years, Oktoberfest Rome has established itself as a popular event in the Italian capital. Following the Bavarian model, the festival brings a piece of Munich beer-tent atmosphere to southern Europe – right in the heart of one of Rome's most historic neighbourhoods, situated between the Aventine Hill and the Tiber River.
Visitors can look forward to a large beer garden at the Città dell'Altra Economia, serving authentic Munich beer imported directly from Bavaria. Accompanying the beer is Bavarian street food – from pretzels and sausages to other typical specialities. Live music provides entertainment and creates the right atmosphere across the spacious festival grounds.
A key feature of Oktoberfest Rome: access to the site is free of charge. Costs apply only for food and drinks. The festival is aimed at both locals and tourists who want to experience a Bavarian tradition during their stay in Rome.
The CittĂ dell'Altra Economia in Testaccio is easily accessible by public transport and offers ample space for an event of this scale. The venue is located near the former slaughterhouse district and has become a cultural meeting point in Rome.
The five-day festival from September 16 to 20, 2026, promises a mix of tradition, culinary enjoyment, and convivial gathering – an unusual combination that has now become firmly rooted in Italy.
