Welcome to the Nibelungen-Festspiele 2027 in Worms
From July 9 to 25, 2027, the square in front of Worms Cathedral once again becomes one of Germany's most striking open air stages. Since its revival in 2002, the Nibelungen-Festspiele has presented a new interpretation of the legendary Nibelung saga each year, performed by well known theatre and film actors against the historic cathedral backdrop.

Program and Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The main production begins at 8:30 pm on performance evenings, with grandstand entry opening at 8:00 pm and the park area accessible from 5:30 pm. An additional date on July 26 is reserved as a rain contingency day in case a performance has to be cancelled due to weather. The 2027 play and its cast will be announced by the Nibelungenfestspiele gGmbH in autumn 2026.
