Welcome to Nickelsdorf Konfrontationen 2027 in Nickelsdorf
In the small border town of Nickelsdorf in Burgenland, the courtyard of the Jazzgalerie has turned into a meeting point for free jazz and improvised music every year since 1980. An important note up front: at the time of research, no official dates had been announced for a 2027 edition, and following the death of festival founder Hans Falb in late 2025, several observers described the most recent edition as possibly the last one held in Nickelsdorf. Whether and in what form the festival will take place in 2027 is currently uncertain.
