Welcome to the New Year's Eve 2026/2027 in Cordoba
On 31 December 2026 and 1 January 2027, Cordoba in Andalusia welcomes the new year on Plaza de las Tendillas. The municipal Fiesta de Fin de Año is the main gathering for the midnight countdown, the twelve lucky grapes and the fireworks. Instead of church bells, the square’s famous clock marks each second with flamenco guitar strums recorded by local master Juan Serrano – a ritual often broadcast across Andalusia.

The structure is stable year after year: in the morning, Plaza de las Tendillas hosts a family party with inflatables, stage animation and early children’s chimes. The main evening typically opens around 22:00 with background music, a live set and a countdown host just before midnight. At 00:00 the guitar clock, grapes, balloon release and fireworks follow; the stage often continues until about 02:30.
1 January 2027 is festive but calmer. Many visitors walk the lit historic centre and the Judería and visit the Mosque-Cathedral. Confirmed cultural highlight: the Orquesta de Cordoba New Year concerts on 1 and 2 January 2027 at 20:00 in the Gran Teatro, mixing Viennese waltzes, zarzuela and The Blue Danube under Gianluca Martinenghi with soprano Natalia Labourdette. The festive season closes with the Three Kings parade on 5 January.

Admission to the official celebration on Plaza de las Tendillas is free; no ticket is required for the square.
