When is the North Sea Jazz Festival 2027?
The North Sea Jazz Festival takes place from 9 to 11 July 2027 (Friday to Sunday) in Rotterdam. Running since 1976, it is widely regarded as the world's largest indoor jazz festival, drawing up to 75,000 visitors each year to enjoy over 1,000 musicians across as many as 16 stages. Alongside classic jazz, the program also covers soul, funk, blues, hip hop and pop, giving it a much broader appeal than a purely jazz crowd.

How much do North Sea Jazz Festival tickets cost?
Official 2027 ticket prices have not been announced yet; sales usually open with weekend tickets in November of the previous year, followed by day tickets in January. As a reference: in 2026 a day ticket cost around 145 euros, while a three day ticket was priced at roughly 390 euros. Those choosing the Birdland VIP experience paid around 540 euros per day, or 1,470 euros for all three days, including lounge access, a separate entrance and food and drinks.
Who is performing at North Sea Jazz 2027?
The 2027 lineup has not been revealed yet; artists are typically announced in phases starting in autumn of the previous year. Throughout its history the festival has hosted jazz and soul legends such as Miles Davis, James Brown and Sarah Vaughan, and more recently acts like Charlie Puth, John Legend and Nile Rodgers & Chic. The Edison Jazz Awards are traditionally presented during the festival.
How to get to Rotterdam Ahoy?
Traveling by public transport is strongly recommended, as access roads and parking fill up quickly during the festival. From Rotterdam Centraal station, metro line D or E runs directly to Zuidplein station, only about a five minute walk from Ahoy. Numerous RET bus lines also stop nearby.
