Welcome to the Novi Sad Winterfest 2026

From 5 December 2026 to 7 January 2027, Liberty Square (Trg Slobode) in the historic center of Novi Sad transforms into a Balkan winter wonderland. As Serbia's first and oldest true Christmas Market, Winterfest attracts visitors from all over the region. The festive atmosphere beautifully blends traditional Balkan charm with holiday cheer.

Program

The market opens daily from late morning. The undisputed highlight is the giant Singing Christmas Tree, where children's and adult choirs from all over the Vojvodina province gather every evening to perform traditional and international carols. The wooden stalls offer a diverse array of local specialties, traditional crafts, and winter treats.

Admission to the Novi Sad Winterfest is completely free. While you will need to pay for horse-drawn carriage rides, food, and drinks, strolling through the square and enjoying the daily choir performances on the Singing Christmas Tree is accessible to everyone at no cost.
