Event Details

What is the Nuremberg Pop Festival?

Nürnberg Pop is Southern Germany's largest club and showcase festival. Since 2011 it has turned Nuremberg's old town into a giant stage for three days, with concerts held not only in regular clubs and cultural centers but also in churches, museums, clothing stores, record shops, on rooftops and in public squares. The festival is complemented by the POP CONFERENCE, featuring panel discussions, talks and workshops on the music industry, and the GUNDA Pop Culture Award, presented for the third time in 2026.

When is Nuremberg Pop 2026?

The festival runs from Thursday, 8 October, to Saturday, 10 October 2026. Thursday features the opening night and the GUNDA Pop Culture Award ceremony, while Friday and Saturday make up the main weekend program with most of the roughly 80 announced acts.

Who is playing at Nuremberg Pop 2026?

  • Modeselektor, Cari Cari and Sprints as top acts
  • OK Kid, Aaron, Orbit and Panicbaby
  • Raum27, Magda, Lgoony and Personal Trainer
  • Around 80 artists across more than 20 stages throughout the old town
  • Nuremberg Pop is the German partner festival of the European INES Showcase network

Where do the shows take place?

Instead of a single festival ground, performances take place at unconventional venues scattered across Nuremberg's old town. The central meeting point for the wristband exchange is the Künstlerhaus at the main entrance, Königstraße 93, 90402 Nürnberg (Thursday); on Friday and Saturday the exchange moves to Kornmarkt (Red Corner Bar, Kornmarkt 5 to 7). From there, visitors spread out to the many venues within walking distance.

How much do tickets cost?

The regular weekend ticket for Friday and Saturday costs 65 euros plus advance booking fees. Group bookings are cheaper: pairs pay 60 euros per ticket, groups of four pay 55 euros per ticket (plus fees). Day tickets are also available for each of the three festival days, plus a three day ticket that includes the Thursday opening night. Through resellers such as Eventim, limited allotments have been available from around 56 euros.

How do I get there and what should I know before going?

  • Bring an ID card or passport along with your ticket for the wristband exchange.
  • Allow at least 60 minutes during the busiest exchange window, between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
  • Since venues are spread across the old town, wear comfortable shoes for short walks between locations.
  • Traveling by bus, train or public transport is recommended, as the old town gets busy on festival days.
  • Wheelchair users and people with severe disabilities pay the regular ticket price; companions with the "B" mark on their disability card get free entry.
