Welcome to Óbidos Vila Natal 2026
From 27 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, the historic medieval town of Óbidos, entirely enclosed by ancient stone walls, transforms into an enchanting Christmas village. Famous for its cobbled streets and hilltop castle, this picturesque destination offers a truly fairy-tale holiday experience accompanied by the region's signature cherry liqueur (Ginjinha).

Program
The event opens daily—from Monday to Thursday between 11:00 AM and 8:00 PM, and Friday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM (with reduced hours on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve). The program features live street entertainment, Santa’s official chalet, circus-style acts, and whimsical theatrical displays scattered throughout the ancient alleys.
Tickets
While wandering through the general streets of Óbidos is free, accessing the dedicated Vila Natal festival grounds requires an entry ticket. Tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the gates (Porta da Vila). Certain specific activities like ice skating carry a small separate fee.
