Program
Óbidos Vila Natal opens daily, except on 25 December and 1 January. From Monday to Thursday the grounds are open from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and from Friday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM; on 24 and 31 December the park closes earlier, at 6:00 PM. Across two stages, shows, music and family performances run throughout the season. Fixed program highlights include a visit to Father Christmas, a ride on the Christmas train and time on the ice rink; individual attractions such as the Ferris wheel, carousel and virtual simulators are charged separately.
Tickets
Advance sales usually open at the end of October through the official website. In the previous season, the regular adult ticket (age 12 and up) cost around 7 to 10 euros, and the child ticket (ages 3 to 11) cost 5 to 8 euros. Family packages (2 adults plus 2 to 4 children) cost between 32 and 46 euros. Residents of the Óbidos municipality get free entry with valid ID. Buying tickets online in advance is recommended to avoid long queues.
Visitor Tips
- Buy tickets online in advance, especially on weekends and during the last week of December.
- Bring warm clothing and sturdy shoes, as the streets in the old town are cobbled and sometimes steep.
- Óbidos is about an hour from Lisbon; arriving by car or organized coach is recommended.
- Allow extra time, since Óbidos is worth a walk along the town walls even outside the Christmas event.
- Attractions like the Ferris wheel and ice rink can have separate queues; arriving early helps.
