Obscene Extreme organizers have officially confirmed the 2027 dates: the festival will run from 7 to 11 July 2027. This keeps the traditional July slot the freak friendly grindcore and death metal festival has held since its founding in 1999.

Unlike the dates, the 2027 venue is not yet set. For more than 25 years the festival took place at the so called "Battlefield" site in Trutnov; organizers have now announced that this location is being given up due to a lack of water and sewage connections, shrinking available land and renovations that were repeatedly promised but never delivered. According to the official announcement, the only certainty is that Obscene Extreme 2027 will again take place in the Czech Republic; a decision on the new venue was announced for the end of August.
