Welcome to the Öcher Bend 2027 in Aachen
The Öcher Bend is the largest folk festival in the Aachen region and takes place on the Bendplatz twice a year: in spring as the Osterbend and later in the year as the Sommerbend. In 2027 the square will once again turn into a colorful fairground with rides, food stalls and a large beer tent. Specific dates for 2027 have not yet been confirmed, the organizer Eurogress has only stated so far that both editions will take place.

Program and Schedule: What Happens at the Öcher Bend in 2027
The Osterbend traditionally opens the fairground season in spring, followed by the Sommerbend later in the year. Both editions run over several days, usually from one weekend into the next, opening daily in the early afternoon. Regular features include a children's day with walking acts, a family day with reduced prices, and a closing day with discounts and a large firework display. The detailed 2027 program will only be published closer to the actual dates.
Tickets and Admission for the Öcher Bend 2027
Entry to the Bendplatz is traditionally free. Rides, games and many food stalls are paid for with so called Bendtaler, a festival currency worth one euro per token, available at the tourist information office and on site. Family days usually bring significant discounts on rides and attractions.
Visitor Tips: Travel and Accommodation in Aachen
- Parking around the Bendplatz is limited, arriving by bus or train is recommended
- The Bendplatz stop and the nearby Westbahnhof are served by several ASEAG bus lines
- Visitors to the Osterbend should be prepared for changeable spring weather and pack warm clothing
- For the Sommerbend, light clothing and sun protection for the afternoon hours are advisable
- Accommodation in Aachen should be booked early, especially around the opening weekends
