Welcome to the Ojeando Festival 2027 in Ojen
Ojen, a classic white village at the foot of the Sierra de las Nieves in the province of Malaga, turns into a stage for independent music for two days every summer. The Ojeando Festival traditionally takes place on the first weekend of July, bringing local and emerging artists right into the narrow streets and squares of the village.
Highlights and Attractions at the Ojeando Festival in Ojen
- Several stages spread across the historic center, including village squares, an old mill courtyard and other small venues
- A very intimate and close concert experience away from large festival grounds
- A program that mixes local bands from Ojen with established Spanish indie and flamenco fusion acts
- Most of the stages are completely free to attend
- A ticketed main stage in a school courtyard hosting the better known names of the program
- Local food and craft stalls around the concert areas
- A backdrop of whitewashed houses that gives the festival its distinctive character
Program and Schedule: What to Expect in Ojen
Over two evenings, the music spreads across several venues in the village, so visitors can easily move between stages. Alongside concerts, the program also includes circus acts and family friendly cultural activities. Exact dates and the 2027 line up have not been confirmed yet and will be released by the Ojen town council in spring.
Tickets and Admission for the Ojeando Festival
Entry to most stages around the village is free. Only the main stage in the school courtyard requires a ticket. In the previous edition, a single day ticket cost between 15 and 25 euros depending on the date, while a combined two day pass was priced at around 30 euros in early presale. Final 2027 prices will be announced once tickets go on sale.
Visitor Tips: Travel and Accommodation in Ojen
- Ojen sits in the mountains above Marbella, so arriving by car or bus from the Costa del Sol is a good option
- Since the festival takes place in the village's narrow streets, comfortable shoes matter more than any particular outfit
- Accommodation in Ojen itself is limited, so booking early or staying in nearby Marbella is worth considering
- Evenings in the mountains cool down noticeably, so a light jacket for later in the night is a good idea
