Oktober Festa 2026 once again turns Lisbon’s Marvila and Cabo Ruivo breweries into a single crawl: an afternoon and night of independent craft beer, live gigs and street food, with free admission. Run by the Lisbon Beer Department since 2017, it is the city’s neighbourhood take on Munich’s Oktoberfest – Portuguese beer, warehouse rooms and no ticket queue. The exact Saturday in October 2026 has not been announced yet; recent editions fell in mid-October (12 October 2024, 18 October 2025), typically from 13:00 to 03:00. The 2026 programme is not out yet. The shape of the day has been stable for years: one Saturday in October, doors in the early afternoon, music into the small hours. Each brewery runs its own stage or yard; you walk glass-in-hand from house to house. In 2025 the bill included Pop Dell’Arte, Cave Story, Black Wizards, Avesso, San La Muerte, Desert Smoke, Subnoia and Lesma, plus DJ sets from Hause Plants, Margarida Campelo, Guerrilha Soundsystem, La Salsa del Pueblo and Omnika. 2024 featured B Fachada, Alek Rein, Pato Bernardo and Cortada!, among others. The 2026 lineup usually appears on Instagram two to three weeks beforehand.

Typical hours from recent editions: 13:00 opening, first sets from about 14:30–16:00, headliners in the evening, DJs until around 03:00. A collab beer from the brewers on the circuit is part of the ritual – style and name change every year. There are no tickets: admission to Oktober Festa in Lisbon has been free in every recent edition, and nothing points to a change in 2026. You do not need to RSVP. Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Lisbon

• Getting there: Red Metro line to Cabo Ruivo (about a 9-minute walk to Oitava Colina) or Oriente; suburban trains to Braço de Prata for MUSA and the Capitão Leitão cluster. Dois Corvos, Fermentage, MUSA and Pravda are a few minutes apart on foot; Cabo Ruivo is a longer stroll along Avenida Infante D. Henrique. If you are drinking, skip the car – parking in the industrial grid is limited.
• Weather and clothing: Mid-October in Lisbon is often about 17–23 °C by day, cooler after dark, with a real chance of showers. Layers, comfortable shoes for cobbles and warehouse floors, a light rain jacket. Lederhosen are not the dress code here – sneakers and a jumper fit the neighbourhood better.
• Where to stay: Marvila has few conventional hotels; Parque das Nações (by Oriente) is the closest cluster. Otherwise stay central and ride the metro back. Book the October Saturday early – the east of the city fills up on event weekends.
