Welcome to the Ganter Oktoberfest 2026 in Freiburg
From September 24 to October 3, 2026, the grounds of the Ganter Brewery in Freiburg im Breisgau turn into a Baden Bavarian autumn festival once again. Now in its twelfth year, the festival hall opens for eight evenings from 5pm to 11pm, right in the city rather than on a traditional Oktoberfest meadow.

Program and Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The festival spreads across eight evenings between September 24 and October 3, including several Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays as well as the public holiday around October 3. Each evening brings a different live band and DJ to the festival hall, joined by local music clubs and traditional costume bands from the Freiburg region.
Tickets and Admission for the Ganter Oktoberfest Freiburg
Advance sales for 2026 are already underway and run exclusively through Eventim. A single seated ticket with live music included costs 16.90 euros per person. A snack table for ten people with a large pretzel and cold cut platter costs 299 euros, while a VIP table for eight people including beer, a shared platter and a warm meal costs 519 euros. All prices include VAT plus a booking fee. Entry is allowed from age 18, or from age 16 when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Visitor Tips: Travel and Accommodation in Freiburg
- Tram line 1 stops directly at Brauerei Ganter, just a short walk from the festival entrance
- There is no parking on site, the Schwabentorgarage in the city center is the nearest alternative
- Late September evenings can turn cool, so a light jacket for the way home is a good idea
- Tickets tend to sell out quickly, so booking early through Eventim is recommended
- Anyone staying overnight in central Freiburg should book accommodation well ahead of the festival dates
