Welcome to Oktoberfest Rome 2026
From September 16 to 20, 2026, the Città dell'Altra Economia in the Testaccio district turns into a Bavarian beer village in the heart of Rome. Oktoberfest Rome is considered the largest replica of the original Munich festival in all of Italy, drawing thousands of visitors each year with authentic Bavarian beer, live music and a large open air beer garden.

Program and Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The festival opens on Wednesday with DJ sets in the beer garden and builds up through the week with live bands, folklore performances and themed party nights. On weekends the program starts already in the afternoon, with children's workshops added on Saturday and Sunday. Evenings regularly close with big DJ sets running well past midnight.
Tickets and Admission for Oktoberfest Rome
Entry to Oktoberfest Rome is completely free on all five festival days. Only food and drinks purchased at the stands inside the beer garden are paid for. No ticket reservation is required, though arriving early is a good idea on the busiest evenings.
Visitor Tips: Travel and Accommodation in Rome
- The Città dell'Altra Economia is located in Testaccio and easily reached via Metro Line B to the Piramide stop
- Bus line 719 also stops close to the venue
- Mid September evenings in Rome are often still mild, though a light jacket is still worth bringing for later hours
- Testaccio offers plenty of accommodation, which should be booked early for a weekend festival visit
- Since entry is free, popular evenings can get crowded, so a weekday visit tends to be more relaxed
