Welcome to Oktoberfest Thun 2026
For two festival weekends, Parkplatz P8 in Thun once again turns into an authentic Bavarian beer tent. Oktoberfest Thun brings a piece of Munich straight to Lake Thun, with dirndls, lederhosen and brass band music, hearty food, cold beer and a lively party atmosphere under a large tent seating more than 1400 guests.

Program and Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
Oktoberfest Thun runs over two separate weekends: from Thursday to Saturday in the first block, and again on a Friday and Saturday about a week later. On each opening day a live band performs, while the tent and beer garden serve Bavarian food and a range of beers. The opening evening is additionally dedicated to Thun sports clubs, including UHC Thun, Wacker Thun, AFC Thun Tigers and EHC Thun.
Tickets and Admission for Oktoberfest Thun 2026
Several table categories are available for Oktoberfest Thun 2026. The Fulehung package includes a reserved seat, a pretzel voucher and consumption vouchers worth 15 francs, working out to roughly 64 euros per person. The Stockhorn category offers higher value consumption vouchers, at around 102 euros per person. The exclusive Schloss VIP category, with a reserved table, a multi course menu and included drinks, costs around 177 euros per person. Payment on site is in Swiss francs only. Advance sales for 2026 open on April 1.
Visitor Tips: Travel and Accommodation in Thun
- Traveling by public transport is recommended, for example bus line 4 from Thun station to the Kleine Allmend stop
- Free parking for those arriving by car is available at Parkplatz P9
- Extra night buses run back to Thun station on festival evenings
- Mid October evenings can already be cool, so warm clothing is a good idea for the way home
- Accommodation in the Thun area should be booked early given the popularity of these festival dates
