Welcome to the OLMA St. Gallen 2026 in St. Gallen
OLMA is Switzerland’s largest and most popular public fair and takes place from 8 to 18 October 2026 for the 83rd time in St. Gallen. On the grounds of Olma Messen it combines agriculture, food and tradition into a colourful folk festival. The guest canton is Schwyz. With over 300,000 visitors each year and hundreds of exhibitors, the fair offers enjoyment, entertainment and insights into Swiss agriculture.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
OLMA lasts eleven days and is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The tasting halls 4 and 5 stay open until 7:00 p.m. (Sunday until 6:00 p.m.). A highlight is the festive parade of the guest canton on Saturday. Visitors can expect animal shows, machinery exhibitions, culinary tastings, shows and a large folk-festival atmosphere with tents and live entertainment. The motto for 2026 is “OLMA – und Action!”.
Tickets & Admission for OLMA St. Gallen
Day tickets cost approximately 20 EUR (CHF 19) for adults and around 12 EUR (CHF 11) for children and young people (ages 6–15). Family day tickets are about 51 EUR (CHF 48). Evening tickets from 5 p.m. and season tickets are also available. Tickets can be purchased online via the official ticket shop or on site. Discounts are often available when travelling by public transport.
Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in St. Gallen
- Travel by train to St. Gallen or St. Gallen-St. Fiden station, then take the bus or walk a short distance to the exhibition grounds
- Park in the Olma Messen multi-storey car parks or at park-and-ride facilities – direct parking on the grounds is limited
- Book accommodation in St. Gallen early, as the city is very busy during OLMA
- Be sure to try the famous OLMA bratwurst and visit the tasting halls
- Do not miss the guest canton parade and the olmaPLAZA
