Welcome to the Opladener Bierbörse 2027 in Leverkusen
The 40th Opladener Bierbörse takes place from 9 to 12 July 2027 in Leverkusen-Opladen, on the meadow grounds at An der Schusterinsel along the River Wupper. It is widely regarded as one of Germany’s oldest and largest beer exchanges and draws tens of thousands of visitors each year. Admission to the entire site is free. The 2026 edition (10–13 July) has already finished; 2027 dates are confirmed on the official website.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Leverkusen
- Getting there: Use wupsi bus lines (stops around Wupperbrücke, Bonner Straße, Berliner Platz); previous years had extra services and occasional free travel offers via eezy.nrw. By car, expect partial closures of Bonner Straße and temporary 30 km/h zones on Düsseldorfer and Bonner Straße during opening hours – public transport is often easier. Rail access via Leverkusen-Opladen or nearby stations, then bus.
- Weather and clothing: Mid-July can be warm by day and cooler in the evening. Bring sun protection, comfortable shoes and a light rain poncho if needed; large umbrellas and bulky luggage are not allowed on site.
- Where to stay: Hotels and guesthouses in Leverkusen (Opladen, Wiesdorf) and in neighbouring Cologne and Düsseldorf. Book early in Bierbörse week, especially if you plan other summer events in the region.
- On site: Bring only small bags, no dogs, under-16s only with parents. Leave outside food and drinks at home (baby food excepted). Bag checks at the entrances are standard.
- Stay updated: Final wupsi schedules, road closures and the full stage programme are usually published shortly before the event on the official website and by the City of Leverkusen. Organiser: Veranstaltungsbüro Nolden GmbH.
