Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026/2027
Public celebrations centre on the beach and the city centre. Fireworks are traditionally launched over Groot Strand on 31 December and often again on 1 January, with crowds gathering on the promenade. Kursaal Oostende hosts dinner formulas and a party from around 22:00. The New Year's Plunge usually takes place on the first Saturday of January: on-site registration from midday, group warm-up and a mass jump around 15:00.
