Welcome to Parklife Festival in Manchester

Parklife is the UK's largest city music festival, taking place every June at Heaton Park in north Manchester with a daily capacity of around 82,500 people. Across two days, the festival brings together international headliners and rising talent across house, techno, drum and bass, hip hop, grime and pop on multiple stages. The 2026 edition ran on Saturday 20 June and Sunday 21 June, headlined by Sammy Virji and Skepta on Saturday, and Calvin Harris on Sunday. Unlike traditional camping festivals, attendees stay in city hotels or local accommodation and travel to the site each day.

Program

Gates open at 12:00 on Saturday and 13:00 on Sunday, with the festival closing at 23:00 on both nights. Last entry each day is at 17:00, after which no further entry is permitted. Saturday traditionally leans toward grime, pop and house, while Sunday often shifts toward drum and bass and legacy electronic acts. Full stage by stage set times are typically released a few weeks before the festival via the official Parklife app.

Tickets

Tickets for upcoming editions are sold as Weekend, Weekend VIP and Weekend Backstage packages, often with monthly payment plans available for early purchases. Single day tickets for Saturday or Sunday are also offered, though availability is limited and prices rise closer to the event. Official tickets are sold through the Parklife website and Ticketmaster.

Getting There & Site Info

Heaton Park sits around five miles north of Manchester city centre, close to Prestwich, and is accessible from junction 19 of the M60 ring road. The Bury tram line is one of the most popular ways to reach the festival, while regular buses from the city centre take around 20 minutes. Drivers can book a space at the official car park on Sheepfoot Lane via the Parklife app.

Visitor Tips

  • Arrive early as the park fills up quickly once gates open.
  • Last entry is at 17:00; you cannot get in after that time.
  • Book accommodation in Manchester, Prestwich, Bury or Whitefield, as there is no on-site camping.
  • Use the tram or bus, since traffic gets very heavy once the festival ends at 23:00.
  • Buy tickets early, as the cheapest price tiers tend to sell out first.
