What is Parookaville? Germany's biggest EDM festival on a former military airfield
Parookaville is one of Europe's largest electronic music festivals and has taken place every year since 2015 on a disused part of Weeze Airport in the Lower Rhine region, right next to the Dutch border. What sets it apart: for three days, the former military airfield turns into a complete fictional city, complete with its own town hall, bank, church and even a tattoo studio called the "Jail".
When does Parookaville 2027 take place?
The next edition runs from 16 to 18 July 2027. Check in for the Base Village campsite opens on Thursday, 15 July, from 10:00 AM, with check out on Monday, 19 July, until 3:00 PM. On festival days, the site typically opens around 2:00 PM, with music continuing into the early morning hours.

Where is Parookaville held? Getting to Weeze Airport
The festival takes place at Weeze Airport in the Kleve district, not far from Düsseldorf and directly on the German Dutch border. Traveling by train to Weeze is recommended, with shuttle buses usually running from the station to the festival site. Visitors arriving by car should plan extra travel time, given that around 225,000 guests attend across the full weekend.
How does the Parookaville city concept work?
Instead of a regular ticket, visitors receive a Visa and officially become "citizens" of the city of Parookaville. At the Townhall, guests can pick up a personal passport, which gets a new stamp on every visit. Payments on site are made not with cash but with tokens, exchanged at the "Bank of Parookaville". Other city elements include the Bill Parooka Monument, the Warsteiner Parooka Church (where spontaneous weddings also take place), and the Bermuda Quadrangle, a large pool overlooking one of the stages.
How much do Parookaville 2027 tickets cost?
Full Weekend Visa tickets start at around 269 euros, while VIP Visa tickets cost about 449 euros. New for 2027 is a discounted Young Visa for guests aged 18 to 25, offered together with a spot at the Base Village or Green Village campsite. Single day tickets go on sale separately, usually in the autumn of the previous year. Tickets are only available through the official ticketing partner, Ticketpay.
Who is playing at Parookaville 2027?
Confirmed headliners for 2027 already include Don Diablo, Bunt., Lost Frequencies and Steve Aoki. In previous years, the stages have featured names like Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Tiësto, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Charlotte de Witte and Hardwell; the full 2027 lineup is announced in several waves throughout the year.
Visitor Tips for Parookaville
