Party.San Metal Open Air takes place for the 31st time from 5 to 7 August 2027 at Obermehler Airfield near Schlotheim. This cult festival for extreme metal fans features death metal, black metal, grindcore and related styles on two stages and is regarded as one of Germany’s most authentic open-air events.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The festival runs officially from Thursday 5 August to Saturday 7 August 2027. The campsite opens on Wednesday 4 August from 10:00. The party tent starts on Wednesday evening at 20:00 with the welcome party. On festival days bands perform on the main stage and the tent stage. After the concerts in the infield, after-show parties follow. The full lineup is still being announced; confirmed acts include bands from the death, black and grind scenes. Tickets & Admission for Party.San Open Air Schlotheim
The 3-day ticket (“March To Battle”) is available in the official shop at cudgel.de for €170.99 (limited early-bird quota until 31 December 2026). Day tickets and further options are expected to be released later. Admission generally includes access to the festival grounds and camping. Separate parking fees apply (approx. €15 for cars, €30 for caravans/trailers). Tickets should be purchased early in advance as capacity is limited.
Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Schlotheim
- By car via the A38 (exits Sondershausen or Leinefelde) or A71; the site is about 20 km from the motorway junctions.
- By train to Mühlhausen, then shuttle bus or regional bus to the festival grounds (approx. 15 km).
- Camping is available directly on site and recommended; book fixed accommodation in Schlotheim or nearby towns early.
- Bring weatherproof clothing, sturdy shoes and ear protection – the festival is outdoors and volume levels are high.
- Glass and pets are prohibited; strict safety and environmental rules of the airfield apply across the entire site.
