Welcome to the Poperinge Beer Festival 2026 in Poperinge
The Poperinge Beer Festival 2026 takes place on 24 and 25 October at the Maeke Blyde event hall in Poperinge. The 29th edition is known as one of Belgium’s cosiest beer festivals and features 25 brewers offering around 125 beers – including traditional styles and new releases – in the hop capital near the famous Westvleteren Trappist abbey.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The festival runs on Saturday 24 October 2026 from 14:30 to 23:00 and on Sunday 25 October from 14:30 to 22:00. Brewers pour and explain their beers themselves. Live music sets the mood. Tokens can be purchased until 22:30 (Sunday until 21:30). The event is held in the Maeke Blyde event hall and is widely regarded as “Belgium’s cosiest beer festival”.

Admission is free. A starter pack costs €20 and includes one glass plus 6 tokens. A single glass costs €5 (€2 refundable deposit). One token (13 cl of beer) costs €2.50. Water, soft drinks and coffee cost 1 token; wine costs 2 tokens. Additional tokens are available on site.
Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Poperinge
- Arrive by train at Poperinge station, then a short walk or taxi to Doornstraat 43 (about 300 m from the Grote Markt).
- Wear comfortable clothing and weather-appropriate shoes; the hall is covered but outdoor areas can be cool.
- Book accommodation in Poperinge or nearby early via Toerisme Poperinge, as the festival attracts international visitors.
