The Potsdam Palace Night returns in 2027
The Potsdamer Schlössernacht has been one of the great summer highlights in the UNESCO World Heritage Park Sanssouci for more than two decades. In 2026 the event paused; organizer Kultur im Park GmbH used the time to place the format on a more secure organizational footing. From summer 2027, the traditional night returns to the palace gardens for its 27th edition, though official dates and the theme have not yet been finalized at this time.

Program
On both evenings, Park Sanssouci turns into a vast open air stage. Visitors can stroll freely between Sanssouci Palace, the main avenue and the New Palace while enjoying dance performances, concerts, acrobatics, theatre scenes and literary readings; as a so called strolling event, there is no fixed stage order. Elaborate illuminations and video projections transform the baroque facades into a sea of light. The highlight of every edition is traditionally the grand midnight fireworks over the New Palace. For 2027, a strengthened new concept is being announced in cooperation with culture, the city community and regional partners; details on the concrete program and theme will follow once the organizer publishes them.
Tickets
Ticket sales for 2027 have not yet begun at this time. For reference, the last edition in 2025 priced tickets at 47 euros per evening at the regular rate, with discounted rates of 37 euros for students and 41 euros for seniors aged 65 and over; a combined ticket for both evenings cost 70 euros. New dates and prices for 2027 will be published on the official website once confirmed.
Visitor Tips
- Check the official website regularly, as the exact date and ticket sale start for 2027 have not yet been finally announced.
- Saturday dates sold out quickly in previous years, so book early once sales open.
- Public transport is recommended; stops at Schloss Sanssouci, Neues Palais or Luisenplatz Nord are right by the park.
- Wear comfortable shoes, as the venue invites strolling across large stretches of the park.
- Stay until the early hours to catch the midnight fireworks over the New Palace.
