Welcome to the Regensburger Bürgerfest 2027 in Regensburg
Every two years, the entire old town of Regensburg together with the district of Stadtamhof turns into one big open air stage. At the Regensburger Bürgerfest 2027, locals and visitors gather on historic squares, in hidden courtyards and right along the Danube to celebrate together over several days. The exact date for 2027 has not been fixed yet, with recent editions taking place on a weekend in June.

- Since the whole old town is used for the festival and some streets may be closed, arriving by bus, train or on foot is recommended
- Regensburg's main train station is within walking distance of the old town and makes a good starting point
- Comfortable shoes are a good idea, since the cobblestone lanes of the old town are best explored on foot
- Accommodation in Regensburg should be booked well ahead, as the festival regularly draws many visitors from out of town
- A walk along the Danube and across the Stone Bridge is especially worthwhile in the evening, when the old town is lit up
