Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
Until the organiser publishes a 2027 timetable, the previous edition is the best guide. The Stöckalp–Melchsee-Frutt gondola opened at 08:25. From the mountain station a winter walking path of about 20 minutes leads to Berggasthaus Erzegg. Doors and sound started at 11:00 with DJs and training rides. The freestyle contest ran from 13:00 to 17:00, with music continuing until around 22:30. Extra gondolas toward the valley operated into the late evening.
The soundtrack is electronic daydance – house, tech house and related styles – set against alpine terrain. Holders of the full Ride N Rave Pass can also use the ski area (roughly 1,080–2,255 m). A weather backup date is typical; in 2026 that was 7 March. Confirm the 2027 lineup, age limit (21+ in 2026) and any postponement rule on the official site.
Tickets & Admission for Ride N Rave Melchsee-Frutt
2027 ticket prices had not been released as of September 2026. Tiers moved from early bird to regular to last tickets. Sales ran via ridenrave.ch and Eventfrog. Tickets including lift access stayed valid if the event moved to the weather date. Check the official shop before buying.
Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Melchsee-Frutt
- Travel by train to Sarnen, then PostBus to Stöckalp valley station and the gondola up. Valley parking is limited and charged; public transport is the simpler option.
- Late-winter weather at nearly 2,000 m can be cold, windy and changeable. Pack layers, winter boots, gloves and sun protection; wear a helmet and proper kit if you ride.
- The plateau is car-free. Book Erzegg, Distelboden or village rooms early. The organiser does not cover hotel costs if a weather postponement is used.
- Without a ski pass, walk from the mountain station to Erzegg. With the full pass you can ride the pistes and park around the contest window.
- Plan the descent: extra gondolas and connecting buses or coaches toward Sarnen or Lucerne ran after the 2026 event. Recheck Sportbahnen and SBB timetables closer to the date.
