Welcome to the Rock Hard Festival 2027 in Gelsenkirchen
The Rock Hard Festival is the traditional metal and hard rock event organized by the well-known magazine of the same name and takes place annually at Pentecost in the Amphitheater Gelsenkirchen. The unique location on the Rhine-Herne Canal with rising tiers and excellent acoustics holds around 6,500 to 7,000 fans and creates a family-like atmosphere. Since 2003 the festival has been a fixed date for international metal acts and loyal visitors in the Ruhr area.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The Rock Hard Festival traditionally takes place over the Pentecost weekend and runs for three days. On Friday the program usually starts in the afternoon, on Saturday and Sunday already at midday. International and national acts from heavy metal, thrash, doom, classic rock and related genres perform on the main stage in the Amphitheater. Between the concerts there are autograph sessions and opportunities to relax in the beer garden or on the adjacent campsite. The exact line-up and running order for 2027 will be announced in the coming months.
Tickets & Admission for Rock Hard Festival Gelsenkirchen
Three-day tickets cost around 155 euros including fees in recent years. Camping tickets and day tickets are available separately. Presale usually starts in the autumn of the previous year via the official Rock Hard shop. Current prices and availability for 2027 will be published on the festival website and in the shop once presale begins.
