Welcome to the Rock Imperium Festival 2027 in Cartagena
Rock Imperium Festival 2027 returns to Cartagena from 2 to 4 July at Parque El Batel, right by the harbour. The sixth edition follows the record 2026 event, which drew more than 50,000 fans from over 40 countries. For three days the port city in the Region of Murcia becomes a European meeting point for power metal, black metal, extreme metal and hard rock.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
Confirmed dates are Friday 2 July, Saturday 3 July and Sunday 4 July 2027. Doors are listed at 15:00 on the official ticket pages. A full 2027 running order has not been published yet; in previous years concerts ran from mid-afternoon into the night, typically until around 02:00. The first confirmed names are Helloween, Children of Bodom, Mayhem, Venom and Erik Grönwall. Further bands will follow. Side programmes (city, culture and extras) have featured in past editions; 2027 details are still being released.
Tickets & Admission for Rock Imperium Festival Cartagena
The official 3-day pass is on sale from 190 Euro plus booking fees via Madness Live. Children aged 0–3 enter free. Ages 4–12 need a reduced ticket (price to be announced). Ages 13 and over pay full price. Under-16s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Day tickets are planned later if 3-day passes remain available. Maximum six tickets per user; resale is forbidden. PayPal 3-instalment payment is offered. Buy only via madnesslive.es and rockimperiumfestival.es.
Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Cartagena
- Travel: Cartagena sits on the Mediterranean coast of Murcia. Parque El Batel is on Paseo Alfonso XII, next to the port and Auditorio El Batel. Regional trains, city buses and Murcia/Alicante airports are the usual routes; official shuttle buses to partner hotels ran in previous years.
- Weather and clothing: Early July in Cartagena is very hot and sunny. Pack sun protection, a hat, sturdy shoes and ear protection. Nights on site can feel cooler, but daytime remains high summer.
- Book rooms early: Old-town, harbour and nearby shuttle-served towns fill quickly during festival week. Camping on site is not currently planned.
- Harbour setting: Use the location – Roman old town, waterfront and restaurants are close to the venue.
- On site: Cashless wristband, cloakroom and reduced-mobility access (pre-register by email with the ticket agent) are established services. A 50 cl bottle of water without a cap and a sandwich are typically allowed; check the official prohibited-items list before you go.
