Welcome to the Rock the Pistes 2027 in Morzine
Rock the Pistes returns from 14 to 20 March 2027 for its 15th edition across the Franco-Swiss Portes du Soleil ski area. Stages sit on the snow, not in a valley venue, with headline sets rotating between Morzine, Chatel and Morgins. A valid Portes du Soleil ski pass is your ticket to the daytime slope concerts; after dark, free Off the Pistes gigs take over village squares and bars.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The 2027 artist lineup had not been announced at the time of writing. The structure is stable: ski in the morning, a pop-up stage concert around midday, then village after-shows. In 2026 (15–21 March) Superbus opened in Morzine; Stéphane, Boulevard des Airs, Wepa Wepa and Cachemire played Chatel; Trinix and Nèg’ Marrons closed the week in Morgins. Slope concerts usually start around 12:00, with headliners often at 13:30 after a DJ warm-up. Off the Pistes sets in the villages typically run from about 17:00 to 20:00, and on Friday and Saturday evenings sometimes until 22:30. Tickets & Admission for Rock the Pistes Morzine
Official 2027 pass prices were not yet published. As a guide, 2026 Ski Concert Pass rates were: 1 day adult 68 EUR, child (5–15) 51 EUR, youth/senior 61 EUR; 2 days adult 129 EUR; 7 days adult 345 EUR. A 1-day VIP option was around 135 EUR and added a hospitality area, food and drink, and a festival gift. Slope concerts require a valid Portes du Soleil lift pass; evening Off the Pistes concerts in the villages are free and open without a ski pass. Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Morzine
- Travel: Geneva Airport is about 1 hour 15 minutes from Morzine/Avoriaz via the A40 and Taninges. Trains serve Cluses, Thonon-les-Bains and Geneva, with resort shuttles; Lyon is roughly a 3-hour drive.
- Weather and kit: Mid-March often means spring sun on the slopes but wind and cold at 1,650–1,800 m. Pack full ski kit, gloves, sunglasses, high-factor sunscreen and an extra warm layer for standing at the stage.
- Book lodging early: Morzine, Avoriaz, Chatel, Les Gets and Morgins fill up during festival week. Use official reservation offices; ski-pass-plus-accommodation packages are widely offered.
- Check the daily stage location: Concert sites rotate. Allow extra lift time and arrive early — sightlines in front of the stage fill quickly.
- Bring ID for the Swiss side: Morgins is in Switzerland. Carry a passport or national ID; the Portes du Soleil pass works on both sides of the border.
