Entry to the hall is traditionally free. In recent years, only the boxing events carried an admission fee of 5 euros per person, while food, drinks and individual attractions such as the shooting gallery or almond stand were charged separately. Held every year on the last weekend of August, it runs for 16 days and draws over a million visitors annually, making it the largest folk festival in southeastern Upper Bavaria. Besides several large tents, visitors will find funfair rides, a festive traditional costume parade and fireworks during the second festival week. Anyone wanting to experience both festivals should plan a return visit to Rosenheim in late summer.
