Welcome to the SanSan Festival 2027 in Benicassim
SanSan Festival 2027 returns to Benicassim on Spain’s Costa del Azahar for Easter and traditionally opens the country’s outdoor festival season. For three days, indie, pop and alternative music take over the Recinto de Festivales on the N-340, with the Mediterranean just behind the site and the beach only minutes away. Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The 2027 lineup has not been announced. SanSan Festival in Benicassim typically mixes established Spanish indie and pop names with newcomers and a handful of international headliners. The 2026 bill included Of Monsters and Men, Rigoberta Bandini, Love of Lesbian, Guitarricadelafuente, La Maravillosa Orquesta del Alcohol, Xoel López, La Casa Azul, Siloé and Alizzz. The 2027 programme is expected to roll out in the months before the event.
In the last edition, gates opened around 18:00 and music ran until about 05:00. Day-by-day set times are usually published as a PDF on the official website shortly before the festival. Alongside the main stages, previous years offered a warm-up/after-party strand (Sunset by SanSan) and the SanSan Chapel; it is not yet confirmed whether those return in 2027. Re-entry was allowed in 2026, with last admission one hour before close.
Tickets & Admission for SanSan Festival Benicassim
Tickets for SanSan Festival 2027 are not on sale yet. The official 2027 page (sansanfestival.com/2027) already offers a newsletter so you can be notified when dates and prices drop. For orientation, the 2026 price structure (all figures in euro) was: General three-day pass from about 62 euro in the early window, later around 72 to 88 euro; day tickets from about 52 euro; kids’ tickets (under 16, accompanied) from about 32 euro; resident passes for people registered in Benicassim from about 52 euro; Premium pass from about 155 euro (raised viewing area, dedicated toilets, faster entry). Villarreal CF members received discounts similar to residents. 2027 prices may change – buy only via sansanfestival.com or authorised partners. In 2026, festival wristbands were collected on site rather than posted.
Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Benicassim
- Getting there: Benicassim railway station (Renfe suburban, medium- and long-distance) is about 1 km / 20 minutes on foot from the site; the nearest high-speed (AVE) station is Castellón de la Plana. Official shuttles ran in 2026 from Castellón (El Corte Inglés, Avenida de Barcelona), several stops in Benicassim and Oropesa del Mar. By car, use the N-340; parking is accessed via Carretera del Desierto de Las Palmas (CV-147). Nearest airports: Castellón (CDT, around 50 minutes) and Valencia (VLC, around one hour).
- Weather and clothing: Late March to early April in Benicassim often means daytime temperatures around 16–22 °C and a clear drop after dark. Showers and sea breeze are possible. Pack layers, comfortable closed shoes and a light rain poncho. Rigid umbrellas and selfie sticks were not allowed in the last edition.
- Where to stay: Easter is high season on the Costa del Azahar – hotels, apartments and campsites in Benicassim and Oropesa del Mar sell out early. Official partners in previous years included Camping Azahar (Voramar, tents and campers), apartments in Oropesa del Mar and Hotel Intellier Bonaire. Book early and stay near a shuttle stop.
- On site: Soft water bottles without caps (about 0.5–1 litre in the last edition) were permitted; rigid containers and cutlery were not. Food trucks cover vegan and gluten-free options. Mobile lockers with charging sockets can be reserved in advance.
- Minors and accessibility: Under-16s need an accompanying adult and a signed authorisation form (templates were published on the festival website). Guests with reduced mobility have adapted routes, toilets and bars; pre-register via the official form if you can.
