Welcome to the Seehasenfest Friedrichshafen 2027

From 15 to 19 July 2027, the city centre and lakeside promenade of Friedrichshafen turn into a large folk festival right on Lake Constance. For more than seventy years, the Seehas mascot has been at the heart of the celebration; the festival counts among the largest children's and community festivals in southern Germany and draws visitors from across the four country region of Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland.

Highlights

  • Large funfair at the Hinterer Hafen with around 130 stalls
  • Traditional parade on Sunday, 18 July, through the city centre
  • Grand fireworks display on Saturday, 17 July, along the lakeside promenade
  • Arts, crafts and market stalls on Buchhornplatz
  • Sports and play activities for families
  • Theatre performances and live music program
  • Traditional opening drum ceremony (Antrommeln)

Program

The Seehasenfest opens with the traditional Antrommeln drum ceremony and continues for five days with music, sports and market stalls along the lakeside street and around Buchhornplatz. The emotional highlight is the grand parade on Sunday, 18 July 2027, when thousands of participants march through downtown Friedrichshafen. The evening before, on Saturday, 17 July, the traditional fireworks light up the night sky over Lake Constance from around 10:30 PM, best viewed from the lakeside promenade. The funfair at the Hinterer Hafen and the market stalls are open throughout the festival.

Tickets

Access to the festival grounds, the parade and the fireworks is free of charge. Costs apply only for individual funfair attractions, food and drinks, and for optional sightseeing boats connecting Konstanz, Meersburg and Friedrichshafen to the festival.

Visitor Tips

  • Arrive early along the parade route to secure a good viewing spot.
  • Traveling by bus or train is recommended, as parking is limited during the festival.
  • The fireworks are best seen from the lakeside promenade; sightseeing boats on Lake Constance also offer great views.
  • Bring sun protection and water, as July days can get warm.
  • Book accommodation in Friedrichshafen early, as the city fills up quickly during the festival.
