Welcome to the Semana Santa de A Coruña 2027 in A Coruña
Semana Santa de A Coruña 2027 falls in Holy Week, from 21 to 28 March 2027: Palm Sunday is 21 March, Maundy Thursday is 25 March, Good Friday is 26 March and Easter Sunday is 28 March. In the historic centre and along parish routes, religious brotherhoods mark the Passion with processions, carved floats and church music — a quieter, heritage-led celebration rather than a large concert festival.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The liturgical dates for 2027 are fixed. Holy Week runs from Palm Sunday, 21 March, to Easter Sunday, 28 March. In Galicia, Maundy Thursday (25 March) and Good Friday (26 March) are public holidays. The hour-by-hour procession programme for 2027 had not been published as of October 2026. In 2025 and 2026 the Junta de Cofradías released the full list only a few weeks beforehand, with about twelve processions each year.
Recurring processions whose 2027 times and routes still need confirmation include the Procesión de la Virgen de los Dolores (in recent years on the Friday of Sorrows, which falls on 19 March 2027, from San Nicolás), La Borriquilla on Palm Sunday morning, Ecce Homo Cautivo, the processions of Amor, Perdón y Misericordia and of La Piedad through the old town, the Vía Crucis and the Santo Entierro on Good Friday, and Jesús Resucitado on Easter Sunday. Recent departures have been from San Nicolás, the Capuchins, the Venerable Orden Tercera, San Jorge and the church of Nuestra Señora de Fátima. Evening processions have often started around 19:00 or 21:00, with some morning acts. Those hours describe recent years, not a confirmed 2027 timetable.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in A Coruña
- The old town is a walk or a city-bus ride from A Coruña railway station. A Coruña Airport (Alvedro) is about ten kilometres south of the city.
- March on the Atlantic coast is often cool, windy and wet. A waterproof coat and sturdy shoes are more useful than light spring clothes.
- Book accommodation in the old town or along the marina early for Holy Week. A local tourist tax applies to overnight stays in the city.
- Processions use narrow streets. Arrive early at well-known points such as María Pita Square and keep passage clear for the pasos.
- Confirm the time and route of each procession a few days before you go. The 2027 schedule was not available in autumn 2026 and may differ from the previous year.
