Welcome to the Shamrock Castle Festival 2027 in Eggolsheim
The Shamrock Castle Festival 2027 takes place on 9 and 10 July at Schloss Jägersburg in Eggolsheim (Bammersdorf, Franconian Switzerland). This family-friendly Celtic and New Folk open-air brings Irish folk-rock, folk-punk and energetic live acts to the historic castle setting – organised by Fiddler’s Green.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The festival runs over two days: Friday evening and Saturday. Gates typically open around 17:00 on Friday with shows starting at 18:00; on Saturday admission begins earlier (around 12:00) and performances in the afternoon. The exact line-up and running order for 2027 will be announced closer to the event. Expect energetic sets with fiddles, guitars and anthemic choruses ranging from Celtic rock to folk-punk. The beer garden in the castle park is accessible without a festival ticket and features additional live music.
Tickets & Admission for Shamrock Castle Festival Eggolsheim
Ticket pre-sale for 2027 starts in autumn 2026. Based on previous years, weekend tickets in advance sale are expected around 80–90 € (plus fees), with day tickets available at lower prices. Children under the age of 12 enter free of charge (proof required, only when accompanied). Tickets will be available via the official website, Eventim and other pre-sale outlets. Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Eggolsheim
- Travel: Schloss Jägersburg is about 3.5 km from Forchheim and easily reachable via the A73 (Forchheim Nord exit). Free parking is available nearby.
- Public transport: Take the train to Forchheim or Eggolsheim, then continue by bus or taxi. Early arrival is recommended.
- Camping: The atmospheric camping area is located directly in the castle park – perfect for the full festival experience (sanitary facilities available).
- Accommodation: Book hotels and guesthouses in Forchheim, Eggolsheim or the Franconian Switzerland region early, as the event is popular.
- Tip: Bring light, weatherproof clothing and comfortable shoes; large bags and backpacks are not allowed in the concert area for security reasons (max. approx. A4 size).
