Shankra Festival 2027 in Switzerland: Current Status
Since its founding in 2015, Shankra Festival has been one of the best known psychedelic festivals in Europe, traditionally held on open land around Lostallo in the Mesolcina Valley, Canton of Graubünden. For 2027, however, neither a confirmed date nor a fixed venue exists yet, since the festival has been called off three years in a row.
Why Shankra Festival Has Been Cancelled Repeatedly
- In 2023, a landslide during setup forced a temporary suspension of the event
- In 2024, a severe storm caused significant damage to the festival grounds in Lostallo, leading to that edition being cancelled
- In 2025, the festival was cancelled again because the affected land had not yet been cleared for use
- On June 3, 2026, the municipality of Lostallo confirmed that the 2026 edition would also not take place, citing financial reasons along with stricter safety requirements
- The local mayor did not rule out a return in 2027 but gave no binding commitment
Program and Schedule: What Shankra Festival Is Known For
In previous years, Shankra offered a multi day program across several stages set in an alpine natural landscape, featuring a dance floor with mountain views, art installations, workshops and an international line up spanning goa trance, progressive and hi tech. Whether and in what form this concept returns in 2027 depends on ongoing talks between organizers and local authorities.

Since no official 2027 edition has been confirmed yet, there is currently no ticket sale and no pricing available. In previous years, organizers kept ticket prices deliberately below 150 Swiss francs.
