Welcome to the New Year Parties 2026/2027 in Sibiu

The night of 31 December 2026 into 1 January 2027 in Sibiu is not one single event. It is several separate parties. As of 20 October 2026, four offers had a published date and price: the French Cabaret night at Versailles Events, the retro party at Mercure Sibiu Arsenal, the New Year dinner at La Turn on Piața Mare, and the multi-night package at Hotel Stefani. The city’s free open-air concert on Piața Mare has not been announced for 2026/2027. The Christmas market on the same square is not proof of a midnight party.

Highlights & Attractions at New Year Parties in Sibiu

• Versailles Events (Buonavista), on the road toward Cisnădioara, about a ten-minute drive from the Old Town: French Cabaret with Grasu XXL and DJ Nicolae Scorvelciu, 31 December 2026, 20:00, until 1 January 2027, 05:00.
• Mercure Sibiu Arsenal, Bulevardul Victoriei 48: retro party from 19:00, dinner only at 750 lei, or a three-night double-room package.
• La Turn, Piața Mare no. 1: four-course dinner 20:00–23:30, 280 lei. It ends before midnight and is not a club night.
• Hotel Stefani, Calea Turnișorului 36: package 30 December 2026 to 2 January 2027, with a cabaret gala on the 31st and an 80s/90s disco on 1 January.
• Piața Mare: in recent years a free city-hall concert from about 21:00, most recently without fireworks, with a light show only. Artists and times for 2026/2027 are not out.
• Christmas market on Piața Mare: the homepage lists 13 November 2026 to 3 January 2027; a programme subpage lists 10 January 2027. Free entry, Ferris wheel, carousel, ice rink. Hours on 31 December are shorter. This is not an all-night New Year party.
• Liquid The Club, Backyard/Redal Expo, Old Lisbon, Fain, Imperium, Mamma Mia, Odissea and La Dobrun had not published a bill for this night as of 20 October 2026.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026/2027

Versailles Events, also called Buonavista, sits about one kilometre from the ASTRA Museum on the road to Cisnădioara, not on Piața Mare. Street numbers published online do not match (Arțarului 4, Ludoș 29, DJ 106). Confirm the gate with the organiser. Grasu XXL performs known songs and tracks from the album “Mâine nu-i promis”. DJ Nicolae Scorvelciu is on the decks. Every ticket includes a buffet and a guaranteed table seat. Drinks are extra and card-only. Zones are A, B, VIP and Ultra VIP. The theme is French Cabaret. No 2027 dress code has been published.

Mercure Sibiu Arsenal opens on 31 December 2026 at 19:00 with a retro party at Bulevardul Victoriei 48. Two products: the New Year dinner with no room, or three nights from 30 December to 2 January with half board, the New Year dinner and brunch on 1 January. La Turn at Piața Mare no. 1 serves a four-course menu from 20:00 (a vegetarian menu is available, with fish as an optional middle course) and closes at 23:30. Anyone who wants midnight needs a second plan. Tickets were marked “coming soon” when the dinner was announced.

Hotel Stefani, Calea Turnișorului 36, is sold as a travel package from 30 December 2026 to 2 January 2027, half board. 30 December: a traditional evening with live music and a grill. 31 December: a cabaret-style gala, live music, a DJ, cocktail bar, candy bar and a raffle. 1 January: an 80s/90s retro disco with a DJ. The published names are Ana Gabor, George Parvan and the band Boby Bunea. This is a hotel package, not a walk-in club ticket.

Not confirmed for 2026/2027; the figures are the 2025/2026 night only. Liquid The Club, Strada Someșului 19: all-inclusive buffet, candy bar, champagne, fireworks, artist Lele, from 20:00, 300–400 lei, VIP 500 lei. Backyard at Redal Expo: Delia, Sebastian and Alex Zara, drinks extra, tickets 90–240 lei, from 21:00. Old Lisbon on Piața Mică: festive menu, open bar, fireworks, 20:00–03:00, 550–640 lei depending on the booking date. Fain, Strada Nicolae Bălcescu: Italian menu, live music, DJ and masks, from 20:00, 550 lei. Imperium, Strada Nicolae Bălcescu 24: the last published party was New Year 2025/2026 (open bar, live music, karaoke, 390 lei), not 2027. Also with no new offer: Mamma Mia (last listed at 500 lei with drinks), Odissea Events Hall (650 lei, a nine-piece band, unlimited drinks) and La Dobrun (680 lei, open bar, band and DJ). Those sums are last year’s prices, not a 2027 programme.

Piața Mare stays the public meeting point, but the 2026/2027 stage bill is not set. In 2025/2026, Cargo and DJ Funky Drop played from 21:00, with no fireworks and a light show. In 2024/2025: DJ Funky Drop, Bosquito, then a local DJ, about 22:00–01:30, again with no fireworks. Whether 2027 repeats that is open; in recent years the full bill appeared only in December on the city’s culture site. The Christmas market shares the square: a Ferris wheel of about 22 metres, an ice rink of about 600 square metres, a carousel, and more than 120 exhibitors. Usual hours are 11:00–22:00 on weekdays and 10:00–22:00 at weekends. One subpage shortens 31 December and opens on 1 January only from 16:00. The homepage and that subpage disagree on the closing date (3 or 10 January 2027).

Tickets & Admission for New Year Parties in Sibiu

Euro figures are rounded from the ECB rate on 20 October 2026, about 5.33 lei to 1 euro. Versailles: the first 100 Zone A tickets are 400 lei (about 75 euro). Wave 1: Zone A 450 lei (84 euro), Zone B 400 lei (75 euro), VIP 500 lei (94 euro), Ultra VIP 700 lei (131 euro). Wave 2: 500 / 450 / 550 / 750 lei (about 94 / 84 / 103 / 141 euro). Final wave: Zone A 550 lei (103 euro), Zone B 500 lei (94 euro), VIP 600 lei (113 euro), Ultra VIP 800 lei (150 euro). Buffet and a seat are included; drinks are extra. A single checkout link was not posted on the organiser’s site at the time of research.

La Turn: 280 lei (about 53 euro) per person, tickets not on sale yet. Mercure: dinner only 750 lei (about 141 euro); the three-night package is 4,900 lei for a double room (about 919 euro for the room, not per person). Hotel Stefani: 2,750 lei for a single (about 516 euro) and 5,000 lei for two people in a double (about 469 euro per person). Those hotel packages are not club tickets, so they are not used as the top admission price. The city concert was free in recent years; for 2027 there is still no ticket and no artist. Do not reuse last year’s prices at Liquid, Backyard, Old Lisbon, Fain or Imperium as 2027 rates.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Sibiu

• Versailles is not a walk from Piața Mare. Plan a taxi or a car, about ten minutes from the Old Town. Confirm the entrance with the organiser, because published addresses do not match.
• Tursib city buses have stopped around 20:00 on 31 December in recent years. Check the 2026/2027 timetable. After midnight, a taxi is the practical link between the square, Mercure, Stefani and Versailles.
• Late December in Sibiu is often around freezing, and snow is possible. Bring a warm coat and solid shoes, plus gloves for Piața Mare. Club and hotel rooms are heated; the walk back is not.
• Book an Old Town room for the night of 31 December early. A La Turn dinner alone puts you back on the square at 23:30, with no guaranteed midnight show.
• Fireworks have lately not been on Piața Mare; some private venues have staged their own. Do not assume a city fireworks display until the city publishes one. Packages outside the city (Mărginime, Avrig, Codlea) are different products, not an Old Town club night.
